Fendt 1000 Series: 396-517 engine HP View Specs
The first of its kind, the award-winning Fendt 1000 Vario puts its power to work with 500 horsepower models. Its large tires, intelligent ballasting and tire pressure assistant, as well as unique, variable four-wheel drive, deliver the right amount of grip in any situation – along with outstanding maneuverability. And it is not only powerful for draft work alone. The new high-horsepower tractor is powered by a strong engine, which delivers power dynamically at low engine speeds and has a big impact on large operations. The operating costs remain low.
The 500 HP Segment
With a constant power output of 380 to 500 hp, the Fendt 1000 Vario is predestined for heavy draft work.
Different Track Widths, Countless Operations
A tractor that is so versatile that it does more than one track width. In markets with row cultures, it is even available with a 60 inch track width*, even when using a narrower track, the reverse drive can still be used just as well as with the full track width.
Fast & Economical
With a top speed of 50 km/h, you get from A to B quickly. Its low engine speed range for transport is impressive: it already reaches 40 km/h at 950 rpm.
No Weight Problem
With an unladen weight of 30,864 lb, the Fendt 1000 Vario brings a comparatively low weight on the ground. It is designed for a weight of 50,706 lb in field operations. On the road, the Fendt 1000 Vario drives up to 50 km/h.
Power Lift for Front & Rear
Optionial power lift at the front or rear. Lift capacity up to: 12,553 lb on the three-point rear power lift. The lower links can be folded up into parking position allowing additional space for the drawbar – another plus for excellent maneuverability.
Multiple Tires for Healthy Soil
The strong axles of the Fendt 1000 Vario are designed for dual, or even triple, tires. This doubles or triples* the contact area and distributes the weight ideally – that is not only a benefit for the soil. * Depends on country variant
Full comfort is maintained: because the entire driver station of the Fendt 1000 Vario can simply be turned around 180° – and with it all the operating elements such as the steering wheel and the entire armrest.
Hitching Made Easy
From the Adjustable Swinging Drawbar to the comfort ballast pick-up, with the Fendt 1000 Vario, you can pick up weights and implements in different ways. The Fendt 1000 Vario can be fitted with a Category 4N 3-Point Hitch with sway block stabilizers.
Optional Rear PTO
The Fendt 1000 Vario is available with or without a rear PTO – depending on its area of application. The two-speed PTO, with the speeds 1000 and 1000E, enables ideal power transmission.
High Power – Low Fuel Consumption Fendt iD
Low engine speed concept Fendt iD. Those who drive a Fendt 1000 Vario no longer have to bother themselves with the best engine speed ranges. They are always automatically ideal. The Fendt 1000 Vario always runs in the maximum torque range for the lowest specific fuel consumption, which means that high power is already delivered at low engine speeds. "High torque, low engine speed" is the principle under which all vehicle components, such as the engine, transmission, fan, hydraulics and all consumers, were designed for ideal speeds.
VarioDrive – The New Drive Train
The stepless Vario transmission has been setting worldwide standards in tractor drives for more than 20 years. Now a newly developed, comprehensive drive train with variable four-wheel drive takes the Fendt 1000 Vario to the top.
The Way Fendt iD works
The entire drive train of the Fendt 1000 Vario works at an economic optimum. The high-capacity engines with VTG turbocharger unfold their enormous power potential efficiently at low engine speeds. The transmission and variable four-wheel drive ensure ideal power distribution within the optimal consumption range. The Concentric Air System (CAS) cooling concept, with high performance fan, cools all heat exchangers according to need and boosts overall efficiency. All consumers, such as the air-conditioning, air compressor or alternator, are coordinated for low wear through low engine speeds.
High Torque – Low Fuel Consumption
The Fendt iD low engine speed concept results in permanently low fuel consumption and an extended service life. The speed band of the Fendt 1000 Vario ranges from 650 rpm to 1700 rpm. In the main working range, the speeds range from 1100 to 1500 rpm, which is gentle on the components and lowers consumption. The engine in the Fendt 1050 Vario already delivers an impressive 2400 Nm of torque at 1100 rpm.
Conventional four-wheel drives usually have a fixed torque ratio between the front and rear axle. Fendt VarioDrive enables a variable four-wheel drive. The torque is distributed over two transmission outputs independently on both axles. With the help of an intelligently controlled four-wheel clutch, torque can be shifted between the axles according to need, Fendt Torque Distribution.
Since there is no fixed drive ratio with the variable four-wheel drive, the front wheel drive can actively pull the tractor into the curve – this is the so-called "pull-in turn" effect. This effect alone reduces the turning circle in the field by up to 10 percent. VarioDrive minimizes the otherwise usual tire wear on the front tires that is caused by cornering on hard surfaces.
